Project
Kitchen Remodeling
Ashburn, VA
DETAILS
Since the existing kitchen island appeared to be too small, we built a larger one to increase more counterspace and storage space and added another spot to dine.

The original kitchen appliances and orange oak cabinets, as well as the old hardwood flooring, gave the space an outdated look. To modernize the kitchen and make the room feel more spacious, we knocked down the half-wall between dining and living room, demolished the existing kitchen cabinets and replaced them with the bright white color of Starmark Cabinetry. In addition, white is an ageless color choice and it will certainly light up any space for a new, clean look. What is more, white cabinetry is amazingly versatile with the capacity to supplement a variety of designs and style choices, for example, countertops, hardware, and backsplash.
Since the existing kitchen island appeared to be too small, we built a larger one to increase more counterspace and storage space and added another spot to dine. The refinished dark hardwood floor provides a clear contrast to the white cabinets. For the kitchen countertop material, we chose quartzite; heat and scratch-resistant natural stone. The whole kitchen renovation was accomplished within the existing floor plan.
